Ive had pnp HID bulbs in the vibe for over 2 years, I have been happy with its extreme brightness, but unhappy driving with them in dense fog/snow. As all the refraction was blinding me and ofcourse it has been blinding other drivers too. I did alot of research on http://hidplanet.net and read about all the different types of projectors out there. Cheapest being the G1 and G3 kits from Ebay, but after seeing their actual light beam, I wasnt gonna waste my 120$. With those, I could have reused my ballast saving more money but hey you get what you pay for. Bought a kit, Morimoto D2S kit from http://theretrofitsource.com for just under 300. With this kit, you get good quality bulbs, not OEM but still much better than Ebay crap, 2 water tight (time proven ballasts from morimoto), not some cheap slim ballast crap with other kits... etc etc.. shrouds, harness... example, cheap ebay ballasts shipped are 10 a piece and slim ballasts not much more. Morimoto ballasts cost ALOT more... nice to have the D2S harness already on the ballast too, others you need a adapter for more money. Not worth it. So price wise, its not the cheapest, I could have saved money in parts.. but again you get what u pay for... The people at theretrofitsource was really helpful and honest, and gave me their opinions when I asked them to compare the Mini to other projector models. you can also see the lens comparison here. but the bulbs were different so you can not judge the brightness on this one. but you can see the lines, output, scatter, etc etc. http://www.hidplanet.com/forum...6-LR3So that was how I ended up, and I did contact Keithvibe, but in the end I wanted to do the work myself and wanted to buy the parts I wanted. I know he does great work. I know some will say you must remove the bumper, but I did it fine without removing it. just unscrewed the one screw from the wheel well. I have a lower lip spoiler and belly pan all bolted up so removing the bumper isnt as easy as stock cars.. only 3 bolts to remove headlight. easy.baked it for 10min in 180-200deg, pried the lens open slowly, but again really simple job. Headlight is warm but not hot.unscrewed the light cup, its a size of the thumb that covers the stock bulbs, held on by one phillips. install the projector, NO cutting involved, there is a small space you can run the hi/low wire thru, screw in the projector. install the shroud, install the bulb and thats IT! the first one took a while, mainly cause I didnt know how it went it.. but its so straight forward.the projector fits in our H4 hole, projector side has a silicone ring, so it can be tweaked. but horizontal alignment is pretty much set cause it can only go in one way. there is up and down with projectors. the wires should face down. back side you install the H4 bracket, then screw in a retainer. the bulb is installed and another screw covers the whole thing. so then I baked the whole thing for 10min or so, pushed the lens, few clamps, pliers and let it cool off. I thought about adding more window sealant, but there is alot from the factory and i washed the car and no leakage.. also drove thru a heavy storm and no leakage. Install and its done. wow, such a simple job and the output is incredible. I should have done this when I bought my vibe few years ago.... The second one took maybe 1.5hr from removal, baking to back to install. Hope the pictures help someone.. I was unable to find detailed back side of projector pictures from anyone... https://picasaweb.google.com/y...tlink
