I started up my car this morning and noticed that my Traction Control and Check Engine lights were solid orange and "VSC Off" was blinking. I drove 35 miles home from work last night with no issues or lights and 35 miles to work this morning with no problem (except for lights on).Not a terrible problem to have with as much snow as we've been getting (I've seen several people on here looking for ways to disable this "feature" - maybe I've gotten lucky!), but the lights are annoying at best. I'll probably take it to the dealership on Monday if they're still on but was wondering if anyone has run into this problem, knows what could have caused it, etc. Thanks!
Noticed when I got home from work that the coolant reservoir cap was off. Put it back on and going to try to have AutoZone scan the OBD-II code(s) tomorrow if the lights are still on.
Had it checked out at Advance Auto Parts yesterday - code indicated a very small fuel evaporation leak. I removed and reinstalled the gas cap to make sure it was tight and had him reset the code...hasn't come back yet.I researched this for a while yesterday, and it sounds like it's standard for the traction control to turn off any time the CEL is on.
