Well Im Back. Full of enthusiasm for the Vibe.

Post by injun_josh »

So, its been a while. I would post a comment here and there every now and again, but mostly been off the forums and disinterested in doing anything to the vibe. Well recently I paid it off. Which made me like it a little bit more. Then yesterday the throw out bearing went through the pressure plate in the clutch. I almost blew a gasket. Got out of the car with every intention of lighting it on fire, and laughing as it turned from lava paint, to the actual tempature of lava. but I restrained myself. today me and the vibe had a long talk lol. I promised to give it the love and mods that it has been missing all these years, if it would not let me down. So I just ordered a Exedy stage1 clutch kit and a set of coil overs. Next months mods will be magnaflow exhaust and roof rail delete kit, then somemore performance mods, rims, bodykit and paint. I'll definitely be on here more and I'll keep you guys up to date.

Aww your poor vibe and you I just got my 09 GT and only drove it for two days before it went in the shop for a total repainting, course free from the dealership. Got a crappy rental and waiting for my car to be ready for pickup THEN gotta go back again in 30 to 90 days to get the sealant put on....so in a way I understand your pain, be glad you didn't blow a gasket and that your getting a better clutch. Good luck with your mods and welcome back I myself am going to be a boring stock vibe person as I don't got money for all these nice mods I see a lot of others doing, only mod I plan on doing right away when I get the car back is sound proofing the back (and if your doing all this work I suggest you might as well look it up and do it to what can it hurt for a more quiet car) I want to put in a cold air flow intake but I dunno how and don't know how much it would caust if someone in michigan is willin to help out on installing one with me awsome....but anyway best of luck and welcome back :D

It was crying out for attention just like a child. There's only two things you can do. Spoil the child or kick it's (removed). Glad you are choosing to spoil it

Injun_josh, please excuse the thread jack...Quote, originally posted by BLargal »I want to put in a cold air flow intake but I dunno how and don't know how much it would caust if someone in michigan is willin to help out on installing one with me awsomeBLargal, I suggest the K&N Typhoon CAI. Quite a few of us '09-'10 2.4L owners have it and love it. You can pick one up on eBay for around $242.94 shipped. It comes with step by step instructions, including pictures, and is very easy to install. There's also a very helpful thread here on GenVibe with plenty of tips on making the installation even easier. If you want any more info or anything about it, don't hesitate to ask me. I have installed two of them without any issues.
