?? Towing a U-Haul 4x6 trailer (850# empty) with my Vibe?

Post by knaffie »

I've got a 2005 front wheel drive with a 5 speed manual trans. U-Haul's 4x6 trailer is 850# empty, and only 4' tall (not taller than the roof line of the Vibe). I don't have much heavy stuff to put in it, just a 1 bedroom apartment worth of stuff to split between the trailer and the car - clothes, dishes, sheets, etc. I'll load it accordingly so the tongue weight isn't excessive. Think my little Vibe will pull it okay? I'm thinking 55-60 MPH in 4th gear?http://www.uhaul.com/Reservati...el=UV

I pulled one from Port Huron to Saginaw without issue. I only had a bedroom set in it and I had no problems with it.
If God didn’t want us to eat meat, why did he make the cow so slow? (Ever eaten a cheetah-burger? Nope. And you never will.)

Careful not to overload the trailer and load the trailer correctly. You will feel that thing back there and if you're not careful it will push you around the road!
