Can somebody who has consumer report check on a few "convertible"/"stage 2" car seats for me please? I still have a little bit of time as I'm waiting on the itemizing forms (my accountant said last month that the IRS didn't have them yet!) I've seen a few lately:(NOT crazy about this color, but...it says it is "FULLER!!") http://www.kmart.com/shc/s/p_1...pe=G1andhttp://www.target.com/s?keywor...&y=12Supposedly they are made in USA, but need something for TALL and CHUNKY, with a price of less than $100, and one that won't clash in a Neptune with "Graphite" seats I want to stay away from all-black because it would get too hot, and prefer the plush type material because the plasticky type one we have now makes her all sweaty. Thank you
Hi!I checked the ratings and the Evenflo Titan is at the bottom of the ratings overall (45 out of 100). Sorry! For $40 dollars more, the top of the ratings is the Evenflo Triumph Advance LX/DLX. Target has it in a tan stripe (Neptune and Tan might be OK and it's not black) http://www.target.com/gp/detai...10001We used an older version Evenflo Triumph for two girls and had no problems.Hope this helps.
I checked and the brown striped one is online only, but not stores. http://www.target.com/Evenflo-...wse=0they do have a gray with black trim that is a "Triumph 65" http://www.target.com/Evenflo-...wse=0What's the difference in the name? It looks exactly the same to me except color, even the price is the same. One of the reviewers wrote 'it's not for small cars' ?
Besides the pattern, it looks exactly the same to me, too. You'll definitely lose the center seat in the back row because of the width, but our Toyota Highlander had the same problem. Also, something to put underneath to catch the snack crumbs and loose Cheerios: http://www.target.com/Classy-K...wse=0
Can't help on the ratings but in regard to black being hot. Its been a while but we found the metal parts to be the most dangerous. The nice shiny chrome parts can get hot enough in the sun to burn the baby!We got in the habit of always throwing a towel or blanket over the car seat anytime the baby wasn't using it. The sun can really heat things up!
