Trix Won't start

Went to jump in the trix and head to work it started fine and before I could put it in reverse it stalled. Tried to restart but the engine won't turn over. Made sure it was in park and still nothing, neuteral still nothing. Didn't have time to fool with it so took another car into work. My thoughts are a starter issue and when I get back home I'll check battery connection, try to start it, then that doesn't work beat the starter with a rubber hammer and see if it'll work then. ANy other suggestions?

I'm assuming you have power to all the accessories? Is there any clicking when trying to start it again? Any noise at all?

It appears all acc. work fine. When it started the starter didn't drag at all. I really didn't have time to mess with it so I'll know more tonight.

use a metal hammer rubber will just bounce of it. its prety easy to get at I just went thru this a few weeks ago. my starter died.

I got home and tried it again, nothing all gauges power up and oil light (no CEL test light). Put the scanner on, won't connect, check power at ECU Pin E6-1 (IGN SW) no good (yes IGN was on!). Check both fuses label ECU under dash both good. Now What! HELP!

Ok found a bad AM2 Fuse, 15A. Replaced, the engine started then fuse blew again. Engine shutdown.

I had a similar issue on my REALLY old first car, turned out it was a bad ground on the starter that was blowing ignition relays.No clue if it's even possible that it's a similar issue, but that's all I've got experience with.

I replaced it with a 20A Fuse and disconnected the TRD ECU it started and ran fine. Re-installed the TRD ECU and it started and ran fine again. May have a nicked wire somewhere in the harness that's shorting. I really need to get the TuRD ECU out. I'll keep it at home untill I can find the issue. Not sure if I want to run it with the 20A fuse or not.

personally i wouldn't run with the bigger amp fuse. usually the fuse is made that size cause thats all the wiring can handle, could smoke the wiring with the larger fuse. anyway grabbed the wiring diagrams for that circuit if you need them

Here's what I found out. I've isolated it to the TRD ECU or the wiring for it. I had the 20A fuse in and noticed all the lights would flicker. I put the 15A back in and the lights still flickered. Also the car idled roughly. I pulled the TuRD ECU out and the car ran fine and no light flicker.
