Hello to all fellow owners of genvibe I am a new well mostly happy owner of a 2009 Vibe GT I got it for 13,000 has 55k miles and was right in my price range of 220 per month. I will post pictures when my girl takes them with her expensive camera, I fell in love with this car the first moment I took it for a test drive and knew I had to have it! Only issue I have with it that makes me say i'm a mostly happy camper is that when I signed for it I already spoted scratches on the car that they said would be taken care of in a few weeks from now however when I went to pick it up next day after they applied the zurtek (however you spell that) shield I spoted a lot of mud on my bumper and hood, found out a bit later after driving home it wasn't mud but MAJOR rock rash (rock rash is where a rock will hit your car chipping your paint down to the metal in most cases) I have no clue where it came from but its the middle of winter and I don't want it to rust so after a LOT of complaining to the dealership and lets just say I scared their pants off from a few comments I made I managed to convince them to get my car in on Wed to get my car detailed and fixed and get a free rental car in the mean time...fishy how at first they only had a random dude who detailed cars outside and now they have a guy who dose it indoors...very fishy but hey its going to get fixed soon so i'm happy. And if they still do a crappy job I got a uncle who has been detailing and painting cars since before I was born so he said he will hook me up if they don't do a good job and repaint my hood and bumper for virtually free. I'm happy I have connections I gotta say I really love this site so far it has given me ideas on what to do when the weather warms up (I don't have any indoor area to do this in winter) already have plans in the making for making my own cargo mat and sound proofing!
Thank you! And yea I am glad to...who would want to buy a new car and have it rust out before the end of winter right? My guess is some idiot at the dealership went for a joy ride or something before I picked it up the next day...

Thanks all for the welcome, I happened to find this site randomly actually. Other then the paint issue stated I found one other issue, the plastic under the rear bumper near the tires on both sides seems to be having a gap in it. After getting on my back (in rain and snow) I found that for some reason both are missing the screw nearest to the tire so since I got some time I think i'm going to run over the the dealership service area and ask them to quickly put on some screws or at least give me some lol. Hmmm perhaps i'll go to home depo and get some carpet to make that cargo mat i've been hankering to make . As soon as I take my car in on Wed for detailing and get it back i'll take some pictures but so far my GT is still just stock and will be for awhile as I spent most of the money on the down payment heh.
