led replacement lights

Post by wizardai »

Have any of you bought/installed the led replacement lights for dome/map or other lights? Here's an example of what I'm talking about: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...oriesOn another note, our 2005 base vibe has map lights attached to the rear view mirror. Could someone provide what type of bulb that is? I can't seem to find it anywhere. Any thoughts on these LED replacements?

Not those ones, but I did buy something similar. Three flat SMD boards with a small harness, and three different connectors each. But those look like they'll work with the mid and rear lights. I LOVE my new LED interior lights. They are so bright, I can see every corner of the interior with them. I highly recommend them to anyone and everyone.

I think I have only 2 bulbs that have not been switched over to leds yet and those are the outlet indicator and the... hmm... not sure. I can't remember what bulb type it is. Check under the interior bulb list thread and it is probably listed there. If not check sylvania or simply measure it.

Same ones I got! Well I think I done the 25 though, not sure. I remember measuring them and you could barely squeeze two of the boards in there, can't remember the size though. Mine are blue and I have them in the dome and hatch. Flood the Vibe with plenty of light. The blue makes some things difficult to see though, but still worth it!!

I replaced all mine with LED's but I didn't buy anything premade I put it all together my self. 16 LEDS on each side in the front map lights then 8 in each dome light in the back. How ever i did put one of the 4led x 4 led grids in my grandfathers truck and they were pretty bright.

No i would actually recommend the premade solutions as I hard wired all my stuff in and in reality only saved like 10 bucks at most. With replacement bulbs its not so permanent. But I have had good luck with most of the leds bulbs from ebay in friends/family members cars. Im a big fan of the large led grids that go in the dome i know my elderly grandfather loves them (he cant see so well in low light anymore). I did mine more for looks than functionality to be honest with you.

As long as the seller has good reviews and the bulbs look solid (Have plenty of LED's, build quality looks good, etc.) I will give them a shot. For my interior glow under my dash and seats I used a store called sisi - http://stores.ebay.com/sisi-bu....m322 For my Licence plate bulbs I just bought the cheapest 10 LED bulb i could find.
