Bluetooth sound quality

I installed a Clarion CX-609 and everything works great, except one thing. That is the bluetooth mic either sucks. or it is that way on all units that have built in bluetooth and I am expecting to much. We have the mic installed just above the center column of the steering wheel below the gages. But when I am at home and my wife is in the car driving I can barely hear her. Frustrating to say the least. I know if the mic was twice as close things would be a little better. But I am not sure how to get it closer? Visor mount? Some way? Anyone do something like that? Did it help?BTW, thanks to all the people on the board both the question askers and the people that take their time to answer, great job peeps.

I have mine mounted in the same spot, and people tell me i always sound so far away. Im thinking that spot might not be the best to have the mic installed.
