Rolled 100K

Post by Vibe4Me »

I bought the car used 9/15/07 when I decided I did not need the 2500HD any longer. She had 36743 miles when i got her. She has been a great car, zero problems. Last year I put new rotors/ pads, shock(KYB) and springs(Eibach). The only time she has left me stranded was when I left the dome light on all night. It still has the original clutch, but she's ready for a change. This years plan is new paint (it was trashed when I bought her) and new wheels and tires. I thought about having leather seat covers swapped in.

having the seats upholstered in leather is ridiculously expensive. i would try to find a wrecked vibe w/ leather seats you could pull first.

Congrats on 100k! Also on trading your 2500HD for a Vibe. I'm trying to get my dad to do the same...

Congrats on rolling through 100K miles! I just rolled over 100K on February 17th. Since buying my Little Red Wagon used in December 2007 with 67,634 on the odometer, my Vibe has been very reliable. It has lots of carrying capacity with very handy tie down points, seats 4 adults comfortably w/ gear in the back, and has averaged 26.9 mpg through 4 winters and 3 spring-summer-falls. I've replaced the plugs with NGK Laser Iridiums, replaced the oxygen sensor, replaced the engine belt, replaced the OEM battery, put a set of tires on it, replaced the brake rotors, installed ceramic pads on the front, replaced the rear shoes, and had the transmission and radiator flushed. My Vibe could use some new paint, but I'm thinking about replacing the struts and springs this year and maybe replacing the fuel filter. Did I also mention it will be paid off by May?
