meh. That bumper is pretty hideous when you have to look at the full frontal pic.

the lack of improved transmission options is quite disappointing. seemed like a no-brainer.

All I think of is body roll when I look at that car. I would not enjoy driving that thing stock.

i really dont like it... the reason i love my vibe is because i get all the toyota reliability i have always heard so much about, and none of the terrible toyota styling. no offense to other matrix owners i just think the vibe looks much nicer, to me anyways. and yes this new release is WAY to tall! and i thought my stock suspension vibe looked like an suv. looks like it would drive the same as an aztec, my in laws have one and its suspension is terrible, like driving a boat! has a suprising amount of power tho

I priced them out the other day due to curiosity and came to the conclusion they're woefully underwhelming cars. They just don't seem competitive with the others... Maybe with GM-in-crisis style rebates they could be a little more competitive. That's what made the Vibe such a good deal.

Love my wife's '06, but the new series... I don't know. Just bland...

I've never much cared for the current Matrix - the way the body drapes just reminds me of a sheet thrown over a sofa.It does look very mildly restyled. I like the way the did the fogs but that's it - the current one does look better from the front.

It doesnt look any better LOL. I always thought the 03-08 Matrix edged out the Vibe in terms of styling, but the 2nd gen Vibe definitely looks better than the 2nd gen Matrix.

I don't think it looks too bad, but I still prefer the styling of my Vibe GT .

I think Toyotas are getting too.. I dunno... bubble-shaped, reminds me now of the styling of the older generations of the Honda Fit. Bleh. Now that hybrid Lexus hatchback that's coming out this year... pretty (though surprisingly low HP)I'll take pics of the Matrix at the Chicago Auto Show though (unless people want to come with me... hint hint...)

meh, I've not been a fan of any of the newer Vibe/Matrix iterations. Maybe this is where the "purist" split occurs within a niche of car enthusiasts, but I have always enjoyed the first generation Vibe to all other incarnations. If we ever need to replace our '03, it'll be with another one. Maybe a different color

It looks too fat...it looks like a melted Hershey's Kiss. That said, I shouldn't be talking: I'm gearing up to buy a Prius later this summer. Gas at local "top tier" gas stations is already pushing $3.25/g...can't wait for Memorial Day!Cougar Vibe

I like the small changes, but i do agree that the second gen matrix has that sheet-over-a-sofa look.Either bigger wheels or shorter springs are needed. Just Like the previous vibe/matrixes
