I need some advice on engine mods...

Post by DJ_Losch_411 »

Hey guys, i have a 2005 Vibe GT. Its all stock right now and pulls decent. Dont know why the made the engine truely open up at like 7000 rpms lol. But anyways i was trying to decide on an intake. I live in tennessee and on a dirt road. So idk about the CAI. SRI seems like the best bet, but i need some advice on that. And what brand to choose. I dont think injen makes the SRI/CIA universal kit for the vibe. But since being a member here ive heard all about this "cosmo racing". Are they any good? comparible to injen or k&n? Thanks guys, D.J.

i have a 1 so i dont know too much about your engine. i believe the intake everyone recommends is a k&n typhoon. sure exhaust upgrades wouldnt hurt either. keep in mind these things will only show small gains big power would be lots more money and risk. there seems to be many varying opinions of fi on the 2zz

I would go with a CAI. Even on dirt roads. But like siverbullet said, it's only minimal gains.

Just put the Injen CAI in mine and all is good. I like it but its going to be a b*tch to change the filter when the winter is over. I am happy with it. Def gave me some more mid.*edit* I get better gas mileage too...
