Post by Water boy »

Am I the only one who can't reset the TPMS idiot light on my '08?I've followed the owners manual.I get the 3 blinks.I know the tire PSI is correct at 32 on all 4.What am I missing?

Have you checked your spare tire? Some spares are equipped with tpms sensors and they can cause the tpms warning light if not properly inflated.

Had to do this many times in my '08, with the aluminum rims I tend to lose a lot of air. Inflate to preferred pressure. Begin driving. Hold button for a good 5 seconds and it should calibrate in the next few miles. I'm positive there is no TPMS in the spare as I had it on all 4 corners due to the OEM tires being crap. This is not the way the manual says to do it, but it works for me.

Could it be a malfunctioning sensor?

Any way to discover if there is a bad sensor?
