Lost Power to 115V AC Outlet

Post by DressedInBlack »

I have no power from the 115V Ac outlet. It has been checked it with a multimeter and the fuse is fine; the "cigarette" power outlet works just fine. What I gather from the owner's manual, they are on the same fuse but I checked it just for the heck of it...The only thing I can think of that might cause this is the removal of the OnStar module (click me!!). Since I removed the module, I'm not sure if I have used the 115V outlet or not. The reason I ask about the module is because of this thread. To those who have removed the OnStar module, have you lost the power in your AC outlet?Has anyone else run into this problem in general?

now that i'm home and able to mess around with my car a bit more, i was able to fix the problem. i wound up taking out too many pieces when i yanked the OnStar module.the silver box mounted under the OnStar box is the missing link in my case.(i stole this pic from Star_Deceiver's post...sorry dude)if you took this out when deleting the OnStar stuff, put it back! ====================mods: delete this thread if deemed necessary.
