Go single DIN, generally from setups I've installed, the double DIN's are pricier and not as well made, focusing too much on visuals rather than built-in amplification (with decent Signal/Noise) I am currently running a pioneer deck, I think it cost $250 a year ago, and it controls everything from my IPOD right on the deck. I bought a set of Diamond Coax's for the front that only set me back $180. The rear speakers are just Pioneer A's, which you can find almost everywhere for $40 a pair. The tweeters I replaced with Diamond's simple tweeter replacement, ran about $45 for a pair. Pop right into the stock bracket with no modification (if you have the M&T upgrade, otherwise you need to buy the pillar sail covers or mount them elsewhere. You can never fail with the pioneer A sets, what I did a while back, was snap the tweeter off the back two, and cut the wires to the tweeter, so they were single woofers. Worked great and sounded good.

www.bestbuy.com/site/Ke...80525I ran that in my civic, and I freaking loved it. I'm waiting for them to update it a bit, but the menus were clean and crisp, and easy to navigate. It allowed you to equalize volumes by selecting pictures of where the speakers were (under dash, low doors, rear deck, etc). It also set up what size the car was, how big your speakers were, subwoofer size, how many subs you have (to transfer) etc... and it isn't that expensive. I got it from CarToys when it came out, but you may be able to find them anywhere now.
