Im stuck on what color I want, Im leaning towards monotone satellite, or two-tone shadow? Can anyone with these colors on their Vibes send me some pictures of them?
I would recomend checking out the new fusion orange color. Its very sharp and very unique especially on the vibe. Some people who do not like a stand-outish car will not like the color, but if your want a vibe I imagine you are not this type of person or you would probably go for a more traditional looking wagon (Focus, Subaru, Mazda etc.)

Would love the FO, ESPECIALLY at the deal you got! Im tempted to go into the dealer and say another dealer gave me a good deal and ask them if they can beat it now! I really think I want a Vibe, but only way to find out is to test drive and make sure. Unfortunately vibes are not popular here and don't sell, So there is not ONE here for sale.
I have a feeling that there were conflicts between the two dealerships that had occured before I ever went in. What I'm telling you is the final price that the dealer gave me, but I had to go through HELL before it came to that. Anyway good luck in finding your dream car, and my advice would be to go to as many dealers as possible, you never know what deal you might get!

I like the Fusion Orange in both two tone and monotone, and I like monotone Satellite, but I like Shadow Two-tone alot despite you can hardly distinguish the cladding and paint to tell it's two tone! Im probably ordering it from a dealer the way I want, so I want my mind SET on the color I want, which this is the hard part.
Monotone Shadow!!! Fusion orange is coole too, not to mention the Salsa and neptune! There are WAAAAAAAAAY too many Satellite Vibes. I like the color don't get me wrong, but there every where!!!

Of course I'm biased, but I like two-tone Satellite. You can see pics of mine in my signature at my cardomain page...I like monotone Shadow also. And I saw a new fusion orange on the road a couple days ago...it's a beautiful color!
YES!I still visit GenVibe periodically. I have not forgotten about my "original" family over here!
go with the monotone sat. thats what i have and i love it,if i could go back and choose again i would go with the fusion orange i think so i could be different. but i really like the my monotone sat.
I prefer the montone over the 2-tone. no offense to the 2-tones out there, but it's just too much cladding for my tastes. I like the smooth look and not the plastic toy look. the downside to montone is that you get more rock chips and it's harder to keep it looking nice and new due to door dings and such. the 2-tone is a little easier to deal with rocks and debris. I'll find a pic and post it for you. you may want to consider the fusion orange too. it looks so nice in person.my montone Satellite GT: monotone Fusion Orange:
Well since it MSRP's for 20 grand you will surely be able to get it for under that. Right off the bat you can take a grand off for the gm rebate. Another 750 if soemone in your house owns another gm, and possibly another 400 if you are in college or graduated within two years ago. Then if you play your card right you should be able to get a decent deal.

What is this taking off a certain amount if someone in my house owns another GM? I own a Sunfire, and my mom owns a Grand Prix - I get a discount for that?
No no. You get a loyalty rebate if you trade in another GM or Pontiac vehicle for the vibe...if someone WORKS for GM, then there's a discount there too...

be careful of trade ins. most of the time they will hurt you more than help you. depending on what you owe, condition of vehicle, mileage, etc, you may be upside down. even with the trade in NADA value, most dealers will give you less money. You may want to take it to someplace like an Affordable Used Cars that will buy your car from you at Trade in. If you owe less than you're good. If you owe more, than you're upside down. Those places will give you much more than any dealer will on a trade in. It's better to walk in with nothing than to walk in with a trade in. I've made that mistake before on my second and 4th vehicle. I could have sold my Cougar for what I owed, instead I traded it in and was $1K in the hole. If they do a dealer appraisal, ask them for the CASH value, what they would buy the car for if you only sold it to them. If your family has a GM car, then you will still qualify for the loyalty program. I did that my first car i bought. They may also be doing a conquest deal where they give you money if you have a non-GM vehicle. From my experience buying new cars every yr or so, trade ins hurt you much more than help you. Get rid of your car first and then walk in with cash.
We're pretty close to the dealer, the owner is my grandfather's best friend, so they give us market value for the cars. I guess I never saw it from an "outsiders" point of view...

yeah, it's all a numbers game. If they give retail price on the trade in you're going to pay MSRP for the car. Here we have an adjusted market cost too, which is usually 10% of the vehicle! I never pay it, but still, some people end up paying a substantial amount more. I'd also check out dealers on the internet and see about internet deals. I did that with my 2000 Cougar and saved $3K including the shipping to AK.
Now that I say that, As I was turning around in a Dodge dealership, There in the used part sat a 03' Abyss Two Tone, M&T for $14.5k ... Like the price but not the color! and I hate settling for something other than what I want on a vehicle, but maybe this is too good of a chance to pass up?
Went to a different city today, and the ONLY vibe for sale I test drove, and fell inlove with, 2004 Frosty Monotone, with power, m&t, and 6 cd player, for about $20k, After all the rebates it will be cheaper. I can;t decide to go for the newer, more expensive one I like, Or go for the cheaper one I don't as much here?
I have the two-toned shadow....see my link on my signature! and here is some other pictures from Nick's web link! http://nicksimkins.com/vibe/ P.S. Go with the shadow!
‘03 Vibe with 317k and still going.............................
The salesman asked why I had knew so much about vibes.. I also went to floor it when I was test driving it to see how much muscle it had, and it seemed like it automatically went into neutral or something? Is this some safety feature I don't know about?
