Hi all! I have been the proud owner of a 2004 Neptune Monocolor with a sunroof. I purchased the car in 2006 with 24K miles and it just turned 101K this week (problem free so far!). After scrolling through the website, I have decided to spend this summer modifying my Vibe, but I want to start off small. I have seen pictures of the painted engine covers, air boxes (if I decide not to get a CAI) and fuse covers, and I was wondering if anyone knows of a common spraypaint color that pretty closely resembles the Neptune color? It's difficult to judge the color inside the store, and I was wondering if anyone had already gone through the trial and error...Also, I know how everyone wants pics...and I will have them as soon as the snow disappears here in southern Illinois. Thanks in advance for your help!
Murphysboro is almost as Southern Illinois as you can get! Welcome. Don't worry about keeping the mod list short, that's my preference. Just enough to make it yours: simple and sexy. And also a financially-possible choice! But it sounds like you've gotten a lot of value out of our favorite ride already.
Thanks, and yes, we're tucked down on the southern tip here! I'm originally a Chicago-ite, and since my family is still there, the Vibe makes a lot of long hauls. I agree with keeping the mods in, well...moderation. By the end of the year, I plan on new 17" or 18" wheels and tires, CAI, creating my own rear cargo mat (GenVibe instructions!), and maybe dropping it 1.5 - 2.0"...nothing drastic. We'll see how time, funds and spouse permit
Well, based on that wish list, it reminds me of AJ's (AJFLAN) vibe:http://forums.genvibe.com/zero...age=1 My comfort level of clean, yet custom. And of course, we look forward to any photos of yours. These sub-zero temps make it hard to keep these cars clean.
