FS: wheel spacers 38mm... anyone?

Post by 666ws6 »

I just lowered my 05 Vibe and added wheel spacers to push out the stance. I put 38mm spacers on the rear, but it makes the tires rub occassionally. Nothing severe, but I also have a 25mm set and I will use those instead. So I will sell the 38mm ones. I bought them for $85, anyone interested for $60 plus shipping? They were on the car for one week. Lightweigt Aluminum and perfectly machined, no changes to existing lugs required. These will work great on a non lowered Vibe and they make the rear of the car have some attitude.

Your wheel bearings hate you already and will be committing suicide within a year I bet..... lol.. Welcome to GV BTW..!!Pics please... (This isn't the sale section, so I will say, I wouldn't recommend this to anyone, there are better ways to change stance... )

Didn't see a FS section, but I also didn't look. Our experience is otherwise as to the wheel bearings comment. Yes, it's a base Vibe.Install is simple, bolt up the spacer, then bolt your wheel to the new studs. Couldn't be easier, no lug trimming needed with these.

Thanks! That's my daily driver. 135k on her since I bought new in '05. The pic shows the rear tires with the 38mm spacers. I love the look and the stance is nice. However I expected the springs to be a little stiffer and limit travel, so I get the occassional tire rub. I'm not trying to hose anyone on a sale, just offering here before ebay or selling to a friend.

I didn't take many pics, it's just my DD. I think I have one rear view though... I'll look. My wheels are something I got from a friend, 17" but not a name brand or anything. They've done great except for the clear coming off on the outer portions. The tires are 235s 40 series.

Yes, smaller 15mm spacers on the front. And yes, I have a 2000 WS6! Love it! 12.4 my best 1/4, but I need more traction. I'm afraid of running DRs as the rear may break which is common as you know. I have full bolt ons plus cam, and 3500 Super Yank.

Yea I'm thinking about buying these nxt month if you still got them, I want to put TC wheels w/low profile tires.& badass man 12.4 you'll take me lol, not bad man I got a 98 Ws6 Formula running 12.5 my mods in my SIG. It's worth a shot man DR are a must we all know but stuff tend to break at the track all the time

Sublimewind.... the only way to know is hit the track man... it's a blast! Most of the time at test n tunes, anything in the mid 12's is pretty much the fastest out there. I'll keep the spacers handy, so if anyone wants them later on, just look me up.

I have yet to do so, I just blew the failing trans last fall.. the rear diff was already on it's way out.. Workin on a RWD trans and fresher diff.. should be interesting, cause I don't have much for torque down low, so I can pull some traction before the hit comes.. lol.. That and drifting in a Subie is almost impossible without a RWD conversion... so this should be fun...

666ws6 Those roof caps look really good. Are they one off? Or did you buy them?

The roof rack covers are from RK Sport. They are true carbon fiber. They took a lot of custom trimming to fit nice, but they really make the Vibe look sleeker. I never used the roof racks anyway. Now with 5 years of UV exposure, the clear on them is faded pretty bad. Someday I'll buff and polish them, or paint them. But they still go well with the dark grey motiff.
