Corolla Matrix?

Saw an ad on TV last night for the New England Toyota Dealers. Ad was touting the features of the "2004 Corolla Matrix". Just wondering if anyone has heard that Toyota was unhappy with recognition of Matrix, so is trying to hitch it to Corolla, or is this some copywriter for the local toyota group that has no clue what the name of the car is.
