I have been a member of GenVibe for a while now, but never got a chance to post any pictures of my Vibe. So after washing it today, I snapped some pics with my digital camera. I couldn't figure out how to attach more than one picture per post, so I made multiple postings.
As you can see, i haven't done much to it yet, other than some Grafxwerks stuff. I have about 5000 miles on it and am planning on getting different wheels, tinting the windows, and getting a CAI.
quote:What does the third brake light say?It says "PONTIAC." If someone else was here, I could have them hit the brake while I took a pic. However no one is here right now, so I'll have to wait to do that. It looks much better at night anyway.

You could take a long ice scrapper or an umbrella and wedge it between the brake pedal and the drivers seat to make the light come on. That's how I did it. Oh yeah, good to see another Michigan member here!

How did you do the 3rd brake light? I've seen some on ebay that were stickers for the OUTSIDE of the car. Yours looks good so I'm assuming it isn't that?

quote:OK, i shut the garage door and set a propane tank on the brake pedal (sounds like a bad movie). ROFL Nice Vibe and welcome aboard! (too many Michiganers(sp?) thougH!) J/K of course
Salsa was my FIRST choice of color, but all they had was Satellite. It looks fine now, but still like the color. I'm a bit sore I didn't wait to get the Fusion Orange now that I've seen it in person.

Yours looks good so I'm assuming it isn't that? This one is from GrafxWerks, but it is on the outside of the window. I was worried about the rear wiper, which rubs it when the wiper is on. However I have had it on there all summer with no problems.

I find that wedging "The Club" between the seat and the brake pedal is a much better use for the device than it's alleged "anti-theft" capabilities...
YES!I still visit GenVibe periodically. I have not forgotten about my "original" family over here!
i think the 3rd brake light is a very cool and cheap mod. i have one that says "Whoa Whoa"- kind of lame, so i'll get a new one soon. the only problem i had with the install was that my window was piping hot and hard to touch without a sissy scream bellowing from my depths. (which the instructions say is good-hotter=better install) I was thinking of one that says "Sheeyat"anyone have an opinion?

Cool pics bckersey! So shiny and pretty As far as posting multiple pics...I think it worked out pretty well for me when I just put a bunch on one page of a Word document, then attached the word doc. No one else has done that, that I have seen though, but I think it worked out for me. Just a thought. Have you checked out the Michigan forum yet? We're supposed to have a little Mini-Meet at Stoney Creek...either the 8th or the 16th....maybe.

Yeah, but isn't a gander a goose? Oh well. I was totally understanding the phrase "if you don't like the weather in Michigan, wait 5 minutes" today because I left my sunroof open on the vent setting after lunch today. It was sunny and not a cloud in the sky. Come 4pm when I was ready to leave for the bar, it was all couldy and windy outside. I get to my car and find out that it's raining..and so windy that it's really only raining in ONE direction...which happened to line up with the direction that my sunroof was open. The entire dash area was soaked, from driver door to passenger door. radio, everything. My seats were also soaked in the center. Needless to day, I was a bit soggy by the time I reached the bar.
