Anyone Have This Sony HU?

Post by epcIII »

I might buy this but seeing if anyone else has one and what they think of it: http://www.crutchfield.com/p_1...wAllt I like that it has built-in BlueTooth and RDS and is HD Radio Optional also.Edit: Or this Pioneer: http://www.crutchfield.com/p_1...=5684 I'm kinda leaning toward this one now.

Thanks for the input guys.I wasn't really too excited with the one line display (if I'm going to be dropping money on a new HU might as well be happy with it right?), so I looked around some more. I'm leaning towards this JVC unit now: http://www.crutchfield.com/s_1...=5684 They also have it at Sonic Electronix for $50 less. I read through the thread, Crutchfield vs. Sonic, and think I will actually get it at Sonic. BUT, it's back ordered there!!!! Uggh, do I wait and save money, or give in and buy it now? (Think I'll wait.....)Edit: So I called Sonic Electronix and they haven't even put in a new order for it yet so it could take awhile. I might just go through Crutchfield since they have a good reputation.

Crutchfield is based on reputation... They sell only factory authorized so you get 100% factory warrantee and customer service is second to none (not to mention you get all the install stuff you need)

Alright, I did it! I bought it off Crutchfield using an online coupon ($20 off) and a refurbished HD adaptor ($40 off). Pretty excited. My cd in the stock radio was acting funny and I've always wanted to use my Ipod in my car. Plus I should be able to stream music from my phone to the radio also using the Bluetooth. Sweet.

my brother just got that pioneer radio. it's nice, but it doesn't show the time. kind-of stupid for a radio to not show that.

I was reading the reviews for it and some people mentioned that and I kind of shrugged it off. But then I started to think how I actually look at the clock on my radio ALL the time and didn't want to put one of those little cheap sticky clocks on my dash.

There are some threads on here that show how to fix the backlights on the radio displays.

at first just 2 of the 3 were dead, then i tried to replace those which made the third one go dead and now there's no display at all. but the other random dead bulbs for buttons fixed themselves.

It's here! Got to admit I'm a bit nervous to put it in. Will probably install it after work tomorrow.
