RE: 2003 Vibe GT 1.8 When installing an after market horn (horn was given to my teenage son by an old neighbor who is dying, the neighbor wants to here it honk from my sons 2003 vibe). When running the wire through the firewall, we inadvertantly drilled into an a wire near the firewall splicing it and causing a blown fuse. We blew a 100amp fuse. Was able to simplyy resolve wire issue, BUT....we are finding it hard as heck to replace the 100amp fuse that blew. It seems the fuse itself was screwed in, and the fuse box under the hood needs to be removed to get to the screwed in fuse. I removed the battery but an unable at this point to removed the panel cover to the fuse box. I'd like to be able to get this fixed by tomorrow to honk this horn at this dying man's house. Any help is greatly appreciated! Thanks a bunch Mike from Michigan2003 Vibe GT 1.81998 Ford Taurus2005 Mercury Montery2007 Jeep

The question is: How do you remove the 100amp fuse from the fuse box? It appears screwed in. I figured I'd simply remove the panel cover to access the screw, replace the cover, and then install the new fuse. After spending time reviewing, it seems much more difficult. It seems I need to figure out how to remove the panel cover, and it seems too many wires are holding it in, Any assistance or ideas is appreciated. thanks
