Exhaust Manifold

On a 2003 Vibe (not GT), is the exhaust manifold next to the firewall? Or is it on the front of the engine?Does the dip stick tube pass near the exhaust manifold?Thank you.

The exhaust manifold is towards the firewall.

Interesting, I am looking at a 2003. When I checked the oil, the dipstick was discolored and there were carbon deposits that came in and out with the stick - - I could wipe them off. I was hoping that the dipstick passed through the exhaust manifold and that would explain the charred oil on the dipstick - - I guess I'm still shopping. Man, I really liked that car.marv
