Used Car Prices

Post by jake75 »

Kiplinger says strong used car prices up about 10% will help states by increasing sales tax on sales, and personal property taxes in 30 states that assess such taxes on cars. Interesting side note - dealers will be happy as well, since gross profit margins on used cars are three times as great as on new cars. I think they are actually more than 3x.

It's not bad here in NW Ohio .... YET 6.5% in Wood County (Bowling Green) and 6.75% in Lucas County (Toledo). As far as used car prices in general, I think they are higher now than they have been in a while. Hell I still couldn't buy my exact Vibe today for LESS than what I paid for it! Shocking but true Thanks mainly to the 4630 GM dollars I was able to use
