How much do you drive?

Post by vhoward1122 »

I have had my Vibe for almost 3 years and have only 13,000 miles on it. I bought it new from the dealer. Just driving around town and back and forth to work. Occasional drives over 200 miles. Just replaced the battery last week. That is the only thing I've had to do other than normal maintenance. I love this car.

I've had mine for a year, it came with 600 miles on it (new) and it has over 19,000 miles on it right now. This is our second car/business car, aka my car. My husband has another vehicle that he got before me.

Both 2006's...I guesstimate Frosty at 42k + and Neptune at 45k + Neither get driven very far anymore since I don't need Lamaze classes anymore hahaaaa. Currently, both usually go no more than 2-5 miles one way.

I drove my '09 GT off the lot April 11, 2009 with 76 miles (driven from another dealer to the one I bought it from). It now has 18,639 miles. My mom drove her '09 GT off the lot May 23, 2009 with only a few miles on it (can't remember the exact mileage, but it wasn't much). She now has 18,710 miles. Whenever we go places, we switch off which Vibe we take so our mileage stays pretty close which is nice.

Picked my '09 March 21/09. Had 2km on the odo when I first looked at it, 5km after PDI and fuel fill by salesperson.Currently at about 58,100km. That's just over 36k miles for those that didn't go metric. So far, only oil changes and new front wiper inserts.

Bought my base 03 used in November 2006, had 92,000 km on the clock. So I just passed owning it for 4 years, now it has 202,000 km...So that's about 27,000 km/year. I think the furthest I've driven it on a roadtrip was Chicago.Have had to replace the battery (almost time for another new one), the tires (have separate winter and summers now), under-hood fuse box due to a melted alternator fuse, serpentine belt, both front wheel bearings, front brake pads and rotors, front right brake caliper, cat-to-axle exhaust pipe and flange... oh, and the transmission a few days ago! Replaced the clutch while I was at it.Aside from that, decent enough car. About time for something new though.

on my 07 Vibe i bought it brand new in Nov of 06. Traded it in on my SRT less than 2 years later with 126,887 miles.put 50k miles on my SRT last year and 37k this year until i bought my second Vibe (03 base in mid summer).put 15k miles on the Vibe with mixed driving between the 2 cars. The Vibe platform has done well for me. It is constantly loaded and making trips all over the place and still runs strong. I think I'll have one for a long time although the next one might be a AWD.

When we bought our 2003 in 2005, it had 34,400 miles on it. As of this morning, it has 96,799 miles. When we lived in AZ, my commute was 50 miles a day round trip. Now that we live in South Dakota, my round trip is around 18 miles.

Yeah. Everyone drives more than I do. I like the reliability knowing I can go get in it and go somewhere if I want to. Good fuel mileage and good looks. Happy Holidays everyone!

Gosh some of you guys really are hauling. I can't imagine a 140 mile commute each day!For me, I got my lovely Vibe in April of '09 at 72,227. Now I'm above 114,060. I have a 50 mile commute (roundtrip) plus I take my mom to work and school as well. Not to mention this is also my "work car" for meetings and other duties in various locations.Never thought I'd be driving so much, though! It would be more fun if gas would stay below $3 a gallon and I didn't have to pay tolls for my commute!

Neither of our Pontiacs has seen salt or snow yet until this winter. The Vibe is the chosen one

my base 03 is closing in on 100k miles. bought it a few months ago. I can drive anywhere from 50~200 miles daily, depending on the workload (courier).this is the 4th vehicle i've gone thru this year, just bad luck and bad cars with bad problems. First car that i haven't had to worry about at all and I'm LOVING it. havent had 30mpg avg in ages I'm looking in upgrading to a newer model, that's just how much I love this car.

Been a year and 4 months since I got my Vibe, had 400 mi. on it, dealer had to go get it. I'm almost at 12,000 now, I have a 14 mile round trip to work every day, plus various long distance trips during the summer, although we try to take my wife's car once in a while, she has a shorter daily drive than I do!
