What we wish the next gen Escape would look like. People don't want small SUVs with bad aerodynamics that remind them of their bigger gas guzzling brothers. So here is the new Ford Kuga coming in Europe, it should be the next Ford Escape imo.
Quote, originally posted by BlueCrush » Actually I think it says Ford on the Back...lol. I like it!might say ford on the back, but to me it says "eeewwww" all over.
I didn't know Subaru was spelled KPR2291. Yes, not original, I know.I don't mind it at all. On the other hand I really like the boxy look of the escape for some reason.
its not as pretty but this is the suv my dad wants only sold down south Ford Ecosport and ecosport svphttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ford_EcoSport Its a little smaller than the escape but looks just like it (new model), but better mileage of course....
Another long forgotten thread comes up for a bit of fresh air...Today, Kuga images appear on Autoblog --> http://www.autoblog.com/photos...89709Most of them are the same ones posted here by Whelan in 2008!And if you didn't understand the origin of Kuga in the original thread, in Europe, the Cougar is a Ford. Say 'Cougar' with an Boston accent! It's the same way they came up with the British Ford Ka ('Car') several years ago.So the reason for the update? Now Ford is going to replace the Kuga and the Ford Escape. Whatever they come up with will be shown at the Detroit auto show in a month.
My 2003 Vibe Base Auto 2-tone Salsa "SalsaWagon" was built in May 2002. I acquired it in Feb 2004/Traded it in on a 2016 Honda HR-V in Feb 2018.
I'm really impressed with Ford's new upcoming offerings.. I'm planning on buying something brand new early next year, and right now it's between a Ford and a VW. Now if only Ford would give us 4-cyl diesels, and we'd have the perfect car for me!
Growing up in a GM-only family, I swore I would NEVER buy a Ford or Chrysler product. Period. Not because of my family's affinity, but the looks, dependability and aesthetics overall. Nowadays? I LOVE the 2011 Edge Sport, Charger SRT and Challenger, amongst a couple other nameplates "the other two" offer. Detroit's brands are looking better and better. Now, if they can just keep creating more and more American soil-based jobs, I'll be happy.
They are keeping the Escape name which is fitting as the small SUV is or was the dominator is most compact SUV sales for many many years.I anticipate we would have the option of either a ecoboost 4 or soem type of new V6. Hmm...Escape SVT w/ Mustang 300hp V6 or 290hp Ecoboost 4???
I still like the boxy Escape styling. We'll see what they come up with but the Kuga wasn't as good looking as either the last gen Saturn Vue or the current Equinox, IMO.
