2007 Short Wheel Base Chrysler Town & Country MSRP $23,105 bought new July 31, 2010 for $15,500 plus tax. It had been on the dealer's lot since January. The 3.3L V6 gets about 25 mpg on a road trip - miserable in town. Drive it about 3,000 miles a year. Drive the Vibe about 5,000 miles a year.

The Vibe is my wife's car. She wanted it, she chose it, I drive it when we are out together. My other car that I own is a 1974 VW Beetle Convertible. It is licensed as an antique so I do have limitations on how much and where I can use it.I do have a Toyota Pickup and a Dodge Grand Caravan in my driveway as well, they are work cars I have full access to.I am restoring a 69 VW Karmann Ghia Convertible as well, this isn't my car but this is what it SHOULD look like in a year or so.....Dave

Here in NJ the idea of Classic car plates is for pleasure driving and driving to shows and similar activities. You are not allowed to use it for commuting to work. The insurance companies jump in and add even more restrictions and this also varies from company to company. My Company, American Collector limits me to 5000 miles a year, I MUST have another normally registered car available for EVERY licensed member of the household. No one may drive the car with less than 10 years of driving experience. They also do not want it used for errands. A final provision is that it MUST be garage kept.None of this is an issue for me. I do stop at a store as part of my pleasure driving but I won't go to a mall and leave it in the parking lot while I shop!I had a Pontiac convertible licensed for daily driving that I didn't even put 5000 miles on in a year so the mileage limitation is of no concern. There are gray areas, such as going out of State to a gathering of antique cars, can I park it at the Hotel and be covered? Some say yes, some say no. The question is if this trip is a "vacation" it isn't pleasure use, it is your main mode of transportation for the vacation. The up side is that you only pay for registration once, it was $80 bucks or so and is a lifetime fee. You must renew them yearly, but no fee. The insurance for full coverage and full agreed upon replacement value is only $108 a year. For that kind of money, I'll gladly not use the car to go to the Mall!!Dave
No other car, Wife doesn't drive, but during times of no snow I have this!1979 CM185T Twinstar (link to garage in sig)A daily rider from March to November, it has regular insurance although I could put collecters plates on it but that would negate riding it to work...
That bike is awesome. My wife pretty much exclusively drives the Vibe these days, so I get around in my trusty 1986 VW Golf. Currently being restored while daily driven (which is fun), more pics here: http://forums.genvibe.com/zerothread?id=41004Where's the rest of team 1986 at?

Boring 2001 Accord EX (at least it's got a stick) that my wife drives. My old 1997 Civic is with daughter at college. The Civic does have Eibach Pro-Kit springs, Tokico shocks and 15" wheels, Altezza tails and a burbly Magnaflow muffler.

This is my baby. 2007 Dodge Magnum SRT-8. I traded my first (07) Vibe in on it and just finally was able to buy another Vibe this summer to save it from some miles and bad weather.

I guess THIS would qualify as my 2nd car.15 months left of Vibe payments and then I can start looking for a real second car For 25 years I had a 2nd (actually 3rd) car that looked exactly like that. But had I continued my corporate downtown job I would have abandoned it as that transportation option became too dangerous. Here in Columbus no one dares speak the politically incorrect truth that the main reason people don't use public transit are the other people using public transit. I once suggested that they hire armed police officers as drivers.

My 2005 Toyota Matrix XR AWD (yes it is always that clean)fiance 2005 Jeep Liberty Limited.Oh and these during the weekdayssoon to be replaced by these
My step mom has an '05 Corolla (with almost 1000 more miles than my Vibe! Woo!), my sister has an '04 Aveo, manual everything except transmission, my other sister has an '05 (I think) Celica GT with bodykit (that she is selling! If interested, she really wants to get rid of this car), my dad has a full-size 2500HD Silverado with a 6" lift kit, and my mom has a Trailblazer North Face edition, and a manual Jeep Wrangler. She wants to sell both and get a new car. I've shown her the Vibe, but she isn't a fan. I'll try to show her another when we look at Cruze's.

It sure makes for an interesting conversation.
