I have a 2004 Pontiac Vibe GT with 81,600 miles on it as of this morning. The car runs great, but I've noticed while driving it that any time I come to a stop the engine is rather noisy inside the cabin. It sounds as if it has an exhaust leak, but you ONLY hear this noise inside the car while at idle. Outside of the car there is no exhaust leak noise or anything of the sort. If I had to be more detailed on how to describe it I'd just say the car sounds like it's farting at idle. lol I'm starting to think it's just poor insulation that's allowing a lot of engine noise to come into the cabin but I figured I'd ask here as well. Anyone else experience this?
