New owner - forum password question

Post by obscure »

Hi Everyone, I live in "Northern" British Columbia and am replacing a much loved 32 year old Ford Fairmont that I've driven for 25 years with a 2008 Vibe, purchased a week ago. I found this forum when I was searching for (and found) information about getting cargo mats to prevent the load from slipping and sliding all over the place. It looks as if it will be a very useful source of information since I know little about driving a modern vehicle. I haven't been able to find where I change the randomly generated, nonsense forum password to something that I'll be able to remember and type. Could someone please point me in the right direction? Thanks very much. obs

You're welcome! Timewise, I'm like half a day behind everybody else, so at this hour it's usually just me and the spammers who are online (a phenomenon that's actually kinda creepy LOL) EDIT: I meant 6 hours. I need sleep.

It's funny that you brought up the time zone. I was going to comment that it's good to have someone around who is farther west than I am. I'm usually the only one online late at night in groups I belong to. I'm trying to register on the Canadian Government site that looks after recycling old cars and have bogged down at entering the VIN for my 32 year old Ford. Their program won't accept it as a valid number. I'm guessing their records don't go back that far.

First off, WELCOME to the site. We are mostly friendly here. I belong to an air cooled VW site that will tear you apart for any stupid question, comment or mis-spelling! This is a kinder, gentler place!Rather than get rid of that car, restore it and keep it as a classic!! Drive your modern VIBE and use your old classic for Sunday pleasure drives!(though I could think of nicer classic cars to own......such as my VW Beetle Convertible or the my Karmann Ghia Convertible )Dave
