Hey all, I signed up the other day and figured I'd finally post something up here. Friday I picked up a 2004 Pontiac Vibe GT. Came with the 6-speaker system and a moonroof. 81,000 miles. Picked it up for $5,900 and I'm still in shock that I paid so little for it!I came from a 2004 Mazda RX-8, and a 2007 Honda Civic Si before that. Yup, I'm downgrading a lot. Why? I can afford the cars, but I just recently married to my amazing wife and we decided to pay off debt and downgrade cars so that we could have everything paid off in 6 months to a year so she could go back to nursing school full-time. As a result I wanted something fun to drive, but extremely cheap. We got a 2003 Mazda Protege5 for her, and the Vibe for me. I'll be honest I NEVER thought I'd say I own a Pontiac product, but the engine sold it for me. As you can tell by my previous cars I love high-revving engines and the 2ZZGE is a fantastic little powerplant. Add in a comfortable car with plenty of options and a dirt-cheap out the door price and I couldn't be happier! This is one fun and cheap little car!I only have one picture of it so far as I've been too busy to snap any others:I look forward to posting on here and am already hard at work reading up on everything I can find! Two extra little things:1.) The Pontiac emblems have faded from red to pink. It cracks me up every time I see them. I think I'm going to leave them on there because of stupid awesome that is.2.) I'm going to buy as many TRD parts as I can for the same stupid awesome reason. There's a lot of ignorant people in this area so they'll flip out when they see TRD on a Pontiac. lol

The parts will come in due time. The two main goals are continue to pay off debt and to get what needs fixed, fixed: - The weatherstripping around the drivers-side door is shot. - It has a couple of spots that need paint-work. The clearcoat on the bottom of the rear bumper is peeling around a scuff, the paint on the plastic trim is peeling on the passengers-side rear door, and it has a ding on the hatch that exposed the bare metal and is starting to show signs of rust now.- It needs a coolant and transmission flush. Coolant I'll probably go with extended life Prestone and MT90 for the transmission fluid as it seems that it's pretty much universally suggested on anything 6-speed that's mated to a 2ZZ.- Fix the sound system. The stock M&T headunit looked pretty worn, and the CD player wouldn't recognize my burned CD's. I replaced it with a JVC double-din unit (KW-XR610) and ordered an Infinity Basslink II online as the stock system seriously lacks in the bass department and I wanted an easy solution to that. Those two fix that one in a jiffy! Thanks for the warm welcome everyone!
