Broken rear wheel stud

Post by patrickogrady »

Changed over to winter tires this morning, and most of the lug nuts were unbelievably hard to remove, many were cracked at the flange. In the process, I broke one of my rear studs. I don't see any write-ups on how to do that repair, can anyone offer suggestions. And how did they get so tight? Last time they were torqued was spring inspection and tire changeover at a local gas station. I didn't watch but judging by how stubborn they were I doubt a torque wrench was used to put them on.

Studs are fairly simple to replace. You just need to push it out and put in the new one.
