New Member Looking for Advice on AWD Vibe Purchase
I live in Michigan in a snow belt area and would like to purchase a 09-10 Vibe AWD. My questions are is there anything I need to be aware of when I'm looking at a used vehicle. I read some concerns about front end alignment issues. Also traction issues with wider tires, though I would think awd would offset that (to a point). Any ground clearance issues going thru snow? It appears the 2.4 engine is the engine that comes w/awd. Are there any issues with that engine. Is is a Toyota engine? Just need a heads up on any details members have found I could zero in on when looking. Also, how about prices and what folks paid....Great Site. Looking forward to driving a Vibe through the white stuff!

Welcome to GenVibe!!! If you have some concernes about the alignment, have the dealership check it as a condition of purchace!Wider tires? My Firestone winters are the same size as the all-season donuts of death and no problems here!!! As for clearance, it's not so much how deep the snow is but can your tires pull you through!I havn't heard of any major issues from the 2.4, but yes it is a Toyota engine (as is most every other component on the car)...
