Need some help.

ok so i did the DRL mod from MO and now i can not roll up my windows (power) and most of the gauge cluster will not light up. i am using a toyota fog light 3 prong switch. what is going on, how do i fix it and where is the gauge fuse located at?

I'm a bit confused, what did you cut/rewire?

i cut the red/white wire "pin 12" and wired it to a 3prong light switch with an indicator light. after i reconnected the battery i tested it with out the key in and worked fine. but once i tryied to start up the car, the cabin lights flickered for a second and then the cluster lights did not come on.

first indication would be, you have your switch wired incorrect, second is you cut the wire with out disconnecting the battery, third depending on which wire, there are mutiple red/white wires, you cut the wrong pin accidentlyfirst ditch the switch and rewire everthing OEM style to be sure you didn't fry something, then check all your fuses, sounds like you blew a few.Then start over

which fuse could i have blown? and i had the battery disconnected through the whole process. so its not cenerio #2, #3 i cut the wire closest to the 2 big wires in the harness. so not sure if it could be that or #1.

whelp it was a blown fuse. i think it had to do with the ground location for the switch. so i need to find a way to ground this switch (see pic) to get the light to work and not to blow a fuse.

Cole, is this a 2 or 3 wire switch you have?Since I am not wiring these every day I know I always manage to get a little confused inbetween installs too and often get out the VOM to double check the connections.Here's the wiring to the defeat switch to the DRL's in the wife's car.IIRC, the top is ground, the bottom is what switches between DRLs and not, and the middle is a power for the LED in the switch, which of course does not come on unless the switch is active.

man, it looks like ill have to make a trip up to austin just for you to help me with this! lol. but i was able to manage getting the fog light mod done and working, its the DRL one that is causing my troubles. and yea i do ahve a 3 prong but ill have to take a pick later.
