removing roof racks.

Post by vibeance »

If I were to remove the racks and the white plugs under the caps and bondo/paint over them, would it look okay? What I mean to ask is, are no caps okay looking? Does anyone have pictures of theirs (or someone they know)? pls and ty :D

it can be done with good work & no cheap stuff, jus take off your roof racks, take it to a Bodyshop & have them cover it up with bondo, & if you want have them repaint the roof bars after the work is done, so no one would really till it's bondo unless you really look @ it, it's worth a try, I have many several projects to do to my vibe, & removing roof racks & filling in with bondo is one of them I had in mindGood luck man!!

THere are roof caps you can get on ebay for about 150 shipped (they lowered the price of them). Or yea, just bondo it and repaint the roof. I've given up on removing my roofracks after realizing how much work it is to cover the holes left behind. I hate the way they look, but at least they are slightly stylish with the aluminum and all.
