Frosted Headlights?

So I just went to spray on some cleaner wax to help de-yellow my headlights until I get to actually restoring them. While I was letting them sit for a few mins, I took a step back to smoke a cigarette and I started looking at the car. It kinda looked cool and I don't know if I've ever seen anyone do that. I know people tint and shade headlights, but has anyone else seen frosted headlights? Thoughts/ideas on how to do it. Here's a pic from my phone, tell me what you think.

fix your lowing issues first.. lol No frosting won't work well, reason being it will deminish your viewing distance while driving at night. It will make it like your driving in a fog all the time...

(removed) need a little more light for that job. Damn the voice of reason. But I have to say it looks pretty cool, but that might be because I'm all hopped up on pain meds.

Virtually every older POS tired car has yellowed frosty head lights!!! Why in the world do you want prematurely age your car to look like those clunkers?!?!?!Dave

Do yourself a favor and don't try to make any permanent decisions when popping pain meds (or drinking either.) When you come down things will look a whole lot different and you might be very sorry about the decisions you've made.

lolyeah, I say you're on the right track thinking of new things to mod and all that, but the frosted look is already taken by every cloudy set of h/l's out there. You woudn't be able to tell the two apart. Maybe change the hue of the h/l but IMO for it to look good, you need to be ble to see into the lens. That was my problem when I tinted the first time

Damn you guys for making sense, and I guess that's why I've never seen it before. What I was thinking, make it so it looked like it was supposed to be there and not like 20 years of neglect.I will definitely get them nice, shiny and clear (possibly with clear corners)...after this suspension snafu which should be by the end of this evening.

it looks interesting, but only if it was a daytime and good weather only car. too impractical otherwise as has been previously stated. i know in my state headlamps need to be visible for at least 500 feet and must be turned on in all these conditions: during the period from sunset to sunrise, at times when rain, snow, fog, or other atmospheric conditions require the use of windshield wipers, and at any other times when, due to insufficient light or unfavorable atmospheric conditions, persons and vehicles on the highway are not clearly discernible at a distance of 1000 feet. (625 ILCS 5/12‑201) (from Ch. 95 1/2, par. 12‑201)

Perhaps your engagement (as a comedian) should be canceled. Hey! I happen to like the blue. It doesn't affect the light output or available lumens, and I like the way it makes the car look during the day too. Better than smoke tint which does seriously affect output. Or the "all chrome" look of the '05-'08 headlights, which of course these are.It's a little different, but not unpractical.
