2nd Generation Vibe and Matrix Hybrid - Opnions Please
Based on this article from Car and Driver the new Matrix and Vibe have been engineered to accommodate a hybrid powertrain. Your thoughts?http://www.caranddriver.com/re..._news

I agree with that. GM doesn't have a small-car hybrid system at the moment, and Toyota already has a similar sized hybrid car. The only reason I could see Toyota doing it would be to offer the Matrix as a stripped-out, lower price point alternative to the Prius. If Toyota did that, I don't think they would allow their little gold-mine to be sold in a GM dealership, so it is doubtful that the Vibe version would get the hybrid in my opinion.

My 2003 Vibe Base Auto 2-tone Salsa "SalsaWagon" was built in May 2002. I acquired it in Feb 2004/Traded it in on a 2016 Honda HR-V in Feb 2018.
