Hey fellow Vibe owners! I'm new here, and have just recently been able to upload a couple pictures of my 03' VibeGT. I'm really looking on fixin' this baby up, so ANY suggestions will help. Also, I've been looking into certain things so any tips would help on the following things I am looking into for my car:-Roof Rack Caps (For people who have them, are they worth the price, and any pros and cons?)OR-Painting my roof rack- Painting my stock rims (any tips and suggestions?)- and also, lowering my car. Any tips on any lowering springs that won't DROP my entire car to the floor. I still have to be able to get this baby to and from school on a daily basis and over speed bumps/up ramps without a problem. Thanks you guys! I will upload better pics ASAP. But for now, these are the best I can do.UPDATE: 4-30-10Just put on my front lip!

Nice vibe!lowering you have a few options:there is a drop for 1.5" which is what most have here. it gives a nice ride height and comfort still gives you clearance, and there are a few manufacturers of the 1.5" drop, Tein Htech, TRD, Eibach, and Progress. just to name a fewthere is a lower drop with 2.2" and those are the Tein Stechs, those give the lowest stance with out having to go with an expensive coil over kit or air bag system. it still works for daily driving but you have to be cautious goin over speed bumps, but ramps should not be a problem.here is a link to some of the springs: Never Enough Auto - Springs
nice vibe! I actually have 18" wheels with the tein S-Tech lowering springs. I dropped 2inches on the car. i don't have any problem what so ever with speed bumps and i have a huge curb i have to go up every day to get into my driveway. as long as you run those stock 17's, you should be pretty good. just angle your car up the speed bumps just in case. lol. check out my garage if you want to see pix. as for painting the wheels, +1 on that as well. i would suggest going with a 300grit sandpaper and sanding them down just enough to take off a little of the top coat on the rims so that the paint will stick. go to a paint shop and pick up stage 1 car paint. they mix the clear with the paint into a rattle can for you and as long as you take your time, the wheels will come out lookin pretty damn good. just some info from my experiences in painting rims.

Thanks a lot man! I'll probably get started on that as soon as possible. Thanks for the suggestions everyone! I think i'm going to go black on my rims .Also, I found this website for anyone looking for something other then those grafxwerks decals. some of them like the 'vvtl-i twin cam' sticker i like better then grafxwerk's:http://www.importequipment.com/just go to the toyota matrix stickers, they should all fit the vibe.

Just got my FM Modulator in today. I plan on installing it this weekend. Also, I'm planning on putting the DIY front lip on saturday morning as well. Just sold some of my old drums and now I have money! My plan is to paint my rims black, anyone with the "Satellite" color Vibe have their rims painted any other color? I'm interested in seeing what has been done to all these Vibes! Also, I'm looking into some mean performance upgrades. What is the best thing to get that gives off way more power for my Vibe GT?

Quote, originally posted by A Psycho Martyr »Excuse my mind for being in the gutter but...that sounds so dirty! lol hahaha that does sound dirty! I went and bought another set of supplies. Anyone have any ideas for PUTTING a LIP IN THE BACK? . haha. Quote, originally posted by mando7744 »for upgrades, you should look into the CAI and an aftermarket exhaust. that will get ya started. I'm looking into that stuff. I want an exhaust, but I don't want to be EXTREMELY loud. Just really deep and stuff. And as for CAI's, is it hard to install? I'm scared of getting it wet and stuff because of stories I've heard with those... Would a SRI be a better choice? Also, I know you started the trend of DIY lips, do you have any ideas of maybe putting one in the back?

my spending has been grounded for a bit after I get those seat covers, or I'd go get stuff tomorrow and try it. I'll check this often tomorrow if you run into any snags post and we'll see if we can figure it out, that's the best I can do for now. Got anything armando?
i dont have any ideas for the rear. I have, although, wanted to paint or wrap the center of the rear bumper black. but it would work good on my color. ill see what i can think of for the rear. if not, just go body kit.

Just building up the courage the snip the red/white wire...
