Front bumper got ripped out backing over a snowbank (Wasn't me, was my Granny (RIP)) Ever since, the corners wouldn't hold.. been flapping around and well, I decided it was time to do something... Problem, no money... With the fenders shot anyway, I decided to go a little low budget and "drifter" with my fix.. You can see in the pic above, the gap between the plastic over-fender and the metal, that's what I shot for... You can see were the screw in the bumper would often make contact with the metal of the fender.. Zip Zip Clip (with flush cutters please)
Even a hammer and dolly might have flattened the metal so the captured nut (plastic) might have been refit in. There had to be some way besides punching holes in the bumper cover and fender. That's pretty drastic, if you'd ask me.

Ewww!!A fender washer (big washer, small hole) a bolt and nut would have fixed that puppy up like new! (Bend the washer at a 90 degree right by the hole and then install, probably one on top as well as one on the bottom) Now you've made 2 holes that WILL rust this winter and it looks like crap to boot!!!Sorry, calls them as I's sees them. Your auto repair grade for this repair........ D- ........ I only passed you because it worked!I guess you are the "artist" and now I'm the "critic' ? Seems like on this go around the artist needs the education!Let me add, those sharp edged holes you drilled WILL abrade that zip tie until they are cut in two and the piece drops off yet again. Also MOST zip ties are NOT protected from ultra violet rays and degrade rather quickly when exposed to sun.Dave
there is probably 10 other ways to fix what was wrong for under 5 bucks. now it has the start of that Frankenstein look like the ones from the above link.
