Since I'm the "dad-bus" for my daughters in the morning, it's either "The Princess and the Frog Soundtrack", or "Train - Save Me, San Francisco". Our 4 year old knows most of the words to "Hey, Soul Sister!" At first, it came out "Hey, Stole System", but she's getting better at it.

I'm soooo out of touch. I've never heard of most of this stuff you people listen to.

I'm with you there, Bro. I stayed with it up through the grunge era, because I was still single and a drummer in a band, then got into the Blues (old and new) big time, but somewhere along the way music got too commercial and too obscure at the same time. Every one from this time seems to be either a made-up band by some producer trying to get rich quick, or are their own producer and they can only be found on the web... which for us older guys makes it much harder to follow what they're doing.I can't keep up with it either. 'Don't have the time or the interest anymore.Just leave me the Allman Bros, Pink Floyd, Emerson Lake & Palmer, Joni Mitchell, Simon and Garfunkel, "Jimi", The "Temps," Al Green, AC/DC, Stevie Wonder and of course Stevie Ray Vaughan, and I'm happy.

We heard the synthesizer warming up and were like "LOL Emerson Lake & Palmer LOLZ" and then the concert opened with that song and we were like PS... Sleigh Bells... have heard some of their songs, is the album good? Thinking of purchasing it...

Thinking of purchasing it...The album as a whole is not very good: very, very distorted/static-guitar and vocal-style music. Acquired taste doesn't begin to describe it. Great energy, but holy smokes is it an assault on the standard music-lover's senses! Especially folks like you and your hubby who excel in making quality A/V executions will cringe at certain moments. However, the 3 singles they have released are fantastic: 1. Rill, Rill 2. Tell 'Em 3. Infinity Guitars (weaker of the 3, but still cool-sounding).

The 1974 6-sides live of the same name (yes, vinyl) but the two disk Japanese import CD sounds much better. One of my favorite bands of all time, and the one that got me to appreciate Classical music to a greater degree than before too. Just as the Allmans instilled Jazz and Blues into my musical soul.

For the upcoming holiday season, I've swapped my other Straight No Chaser discs for SNC's "Holiday Spirits" and SNC's "Christmas Cheers", "The Promise of a King", a cantata we're doing at church, and Taylor Swift's Speak Now. Discs 5 and 6 are unoccupied for the moment.
