My Vibe Goes on Vacation

Post by Vulcan05 »

My Vibe went on vacation and took my wife and I along. We drove from northeast Iowa to Rapid City SD. The Vibe traveled 1438 miles and got 28.8 mpg at 75 mph on I-90 and a LOT on fun, twisty roads and hills around Rapid City. Besides the two of us, we had one BIG suitcase, a cooler, laptop bag and 3 or 4 other bags of miscellaneous stuff. It was LOADED. The Vibe ran great and the faster I drove, the better it rode. The 17 inch rims and skinny tires are rough in town, but lock the cruise in at 75, and the ride really improves. The curvy roads around the monuments and Custer State Park were FUN. I kept wishing I was on my motorcycle, but the Vibe was a close second. This link shows the Vibe at some of the places we visited:http://picasaweb.google.com/nh...50290
2010 Vibe. Moon roof, Monsoon, 2.4 engine, 5 speed auto, cruise, dark gray.
