Rotor surface pitting

Post by zdkaiser »

I have one small pit on my driver side front rotor. It is very small and not very deep, about the size of the tip of a ballpoint pen. i can feel the small pit when i rub my finger across it. should I be concerned with this surface pit on the rotor? is it going to worsen with continual heating and cooling of the brake rotors? or should I just leave it be? the rotors are pretty much brand new. maybe 3K miles on them. I don't want to have them resurfaced, if I don't need to.thanks.

It happens... Have a look at it after a few thousand kms, as the rotors wear it should go away.
