Games Dealer's Play

Post by jake75 »

Byers Toyota, Delaware, OH in today's and last weeks paper advertised a Matrix Base, MSRP 19,910, sale price 17,488, rebate 750, Net $16,738. If you went to their website that same stock number has an after rebate internet special price of $17,856. I strongly suspect that a buyer unaware of the ad would be charged that $1,118 higher internet "special price". Of course they didn't say the internet special prices was less - just that it was "special". This stock # has AT, Power Package, Cruise Control, heated mirrors. IMO at $16,738 it is a reasonably good deal.P.S. Lease on that same stock number is $195/mo 36 months 12,000 miles/yr., @ 15 cents over. Looks like only $250 down plus tags. That would appear to reflect a pretty optimistic residual.PP.S. Website say 0.9% financing for 60 months in lieu of $750 rebate - seems like a good deal if you qualify. I estimate the interest on a 60 month loan on $16,738 would be about $2,000 total.

My guess is that they just don't update the web sites to keep up the the print ads.

When looking at pricing on Edmunds I noticed that the SE Toyota area has an additional $525 charge - that might only show up on the invoice but of course it will end up in the price paid by the buyer. I wonder what that is all about.
