Remote Start for 2008 Vibe

Just had my local car accessory place try to put in a remote start, they fried the PCM that is what the dealer syas anyhow, $750.00 later and noremote. Has anyone had this problem. Dealer says remote can not be put in.

I had one installed by a local guy last winter in my '05 AWD Vibe. Works great! No issues. Your installer doesn't know what they are doing and your dealer doesn't know what they are talking about.

From what i understand the wieing harnesses are different starting in 08, they have anti theft stuff that go along with the key or something like that.Almost wish i had your wheels, just the aggravation!!!!!

Ah, the bypass module. Someone should still be able to get it to work properly.

Bypass module? HummmThe sniparoonie of #12 wire on the light module got me my headlights that I operate!!! Good info found here.

I actually just pulled a RS out of my 08 Matrix to install it on my wife's Rav. BTW, I sure hope the shop that attempted the installation paid for the damages.
