Painted chrome beside A/C cluster

Post by bassrocker032 »

Well I decided today to do something since I have a vibe and some black paint so I painted my chrome siding on the sides of the a/c cluster. I sanded them down of course to rough them up and laid down a few layers of black. I'm letting it dry right now but I have some of the sidings black and I forgot to take some while I was doing it. *smacks head* but I'll pick up from here. Now pics. First is one before, just an old pic not centered on them but you can see them, plus we all have them so yeah, imagination time everyone, lol. Here's pic of them drying on my deck with the paint in the middle. When they dry, I'll put them in and get an updated pic. Updated pics of finished product on car I'll take better pics in the morning to get some better lighting but for now, i'm happy. It looks uneven at the bend but it's just due to the flash on the camera.

Nicely done. Look at some of the pics in my garage, I did mine a few years ago as well as the chrome around the instrument panel.

Cool, nice job! I like that it has texture now, too
