Roof rack

I have a 2003 vibe gt 6 speed that im tryn to make it look better than it is already. i love the whole body except for the roof rack. ive had the car for about 3 years cause my dad had it before me and not ounce have i used the roof rack so i want to take it off..any ideas how?

when u take off the rack does it leave any gaps or holes other then the holes that u need the white clips for? and have you done this?

I always thought the roof rack was a positive from a looks standpoint - I wish my 2009 had the roof rack even if I rarely had any use for it. Well some are leg men and some are attracted to racks so you know what side of the stream I fish from.

I have done it. I took the rails off and then put them back on. There are some roof caps available to cover the area where the rails were. If you want to completely remove the rails, you will need to get these caps. The white clips are to reinstall the rails, I don't know if you need them for the caps.

i want to completly remove the rack so it looks more like the newer 2009 vibe without the roof rack. do you know where i can get those caps to fill in the gaps? i cant find them online

jhfc those are expensive...sigh...i might just shave the roof rails when i get my car repainted later this year.

yea man almost 300 bucks a piece? thats way to expensive, theres gotta be a cheaper way of doin that mod to my vibe

I am confused. What is $300 each. The roof rack pieces, or the caps. Would not the caps be available from Toyota?
