newbie

Post by Pudntain »

Just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Scott. Have had my 09 vibe for about a month now. The forum has already been helpful in answering questions I have had. I always personalize my vehicles so I will post pics and info as I do. So far have debadged the rear. Have the fog light grills for the front just waiting on the lights. Added a curt hitch to pull my MX bikes. Working on another custom touch for the rear which I will post when done.

Welcome to GenVibe Scott! Great to see another '09 owner join! It's also great to see you already posted a picture and have some mods done! You definitely can't go wrong with the de-badged hatch, looks great . Can't wait to see some more updates from you. Best of luck with your Vibe .

Welcome Scott! My '09 is the one on the left in J_to_Envy's sig.I think I was the only Vibe at the Indy meet with a hitch - a Curt 12221. Want to get it powder coated something other than black, but half of the local shop burned down.Let the mods begin. Take a lot of good pics - I'll steal anything I can see! LOL

hello bluecruch, I pulled a 5x8 trailer with a yz450f and a crf250 plus all our gear and 3 full grown men. It pulls like there is no trailer behind it. Was about 200 miles one way. Had to take it out of overdrive about half of the way, interstate had too much elevation change and it was down shifting to much. That hurt the gas mileage. Averaged around 24MPG. Bought the vibe because my full size chevy was only getting 14 to 16 with the bikes on the back.

Excellent! Yeah, hills can be an issue even if you are not pulling anything. Well, 24 is way better than 14, eh?
