Just picked up a used 2010 Carbon Black Metallic AWD Vibe. 15,000 miles on the ODO, and it's in extremely nice condition. Gonna let my college-age daughter 'borrow' it and retire her 2003 RAV4. The RAV doesn't have anti-lock brakes or side curtain airbags, and I felt it was time for an upgrade. Hope she likes it, and if not, TOO BAD!

Welcome to GenVibe!Your daughter might want to join GenVibe too, in case she has questions while away at college. We're a pretty friendly bunch around here, especially compared with most car forums! My college-age son would LIKE to have my '03 at school, but he's so close to everything on campus, he really doesn't need a car. At least that's what I keep telling him...
My 2003 Vibe Base Auto 2-tone Salsa "SalsaWagon" was built in May 2002. I acquired it in Feb 2004/Traded it in on a 2016 Honda HR-V in Feb 2018.
LOL@"borrow"Wish my parents did that for me... I can't tell you how many times my first car broke down. But, you know what, I wouldn't know as much about cars or have the intrest in fixing them if it wasn't for my forced knowledge.I remember one trip I had a return line spring a leak on my transmission. The three hour trip took me 8hours and about 7quarts of trans fluid. GOT TO LOVE DUCT TAPE.I always carried a full tool kit in the back of the car, for just such reasons lol I only carry a small kit now lol As i try to do the prevenative stuff before it happens lol
