02 SOM WS6

Post by Zer0VIBE03 »

I love my father's car.. it's a 2002 Sunset Orange Metallic Trans Am WS6.Mods:HeadersFull exhaustUnderframe connectorsCorvette Z06 RimsDyno TunePlans:itty bitty Cam He just repainted the nose section because it was all dinged up from debris. Other than that, the car is immaculate and beautiful. Anyways, on to the pics. 2002 was the last production years for these beauties. If I ever inherit it, I hope to procharge it.

Nice!! I always loved the WS6. That car looks really great man! soo immaculate! Personally I always digged these a bit more than the cameros. Im sure that will keep its value very nicely over the years. I really love the ram air hood too. I've heard its rumored they used a fire hose to test it out to makes sure it baffled the water out properly. It has to be very well designed to suck in all the air without getting any water. Thanks for sharing

Had a friend who had one of these and couldn't keep his foot off the gas. Had to sell it because he couldn't afford to put tires on it every couple months. Oh, that and insurance was a ***** as he was only 19 y/o at the time.

THAT was being bent over by insurance. "Sport Engine Charge" or some BS like that. My dad is 52? 53? so the insurance obviously isn't that bad Yeah he recently stopped DD'ing this car cause he picked up a Durango R/T with a Hemi that he enjoys driving year round for some reason. This WS6 is one of the first cars I ever got to drive (and I scared the poop out of myself).Quote, originally posted by vibedrivermatt »Personally I always digged these a bit more than the cameros. All the round lines with that hood make me die thinking about car design. Love it.The color along with the T-top and WS6 option make this car limited run, esp being the last year. It has some miles (as it was a DD for awhile) but runs like a top. Super well maintained.

Those are very fast cars! I beleive almost 300HP to the wheels from the factory! I read somewhere that those engine were underrated by GM.

hahah if you ask some of the F-body guys the LS1 (former Vette motor) was a gift from God. Some of them are as bad as the extremes of the Mustang guys and the Civic guys. I drove a Corvette with the same motor, HUGE difference. Plus the Corvette is lower and just a whole different beast. Theres some different stuff like the headers, throttle body, ecm and tune, etc. etc. etc. that is different.I think after the dyno-tune my dad is about 320-330ish at the wheels.
