I miss genvibe.

Post by bodhi_tree777 »

I'm never on anymore, miss the community. My wife drives the Vibe full-time now, and honestly the thing is so darn reliable I hardly ever need to attend to anything. Couple that with her not being into mods and all my free car time going into my needy VW, and I feel like I'm neglecting this place On a side note, VW forums are garbage compared to Genvibe. Lots of info but a little more stupidity than I prefer in my internets.

I often am on thesamba.com and it is highly informative and usually quite lively in the air cooled sections. Never really ventured into the water cooled parts. It is a ROUGH place to play though and you can be devoured and torn apart instantaneously. Gotta have a thick hide to play there with any seriousness.Good luck on your VW water pumper! Not true VW but ..........Dave

Actually, I'd love to have a nice type 3 squareback, not really in the cards at the moment though. I've been on vwvortex.com which is populated mostly with teenagers and car club kids. The Samba is great, but definitely an aircooled site. New tattoo pics coming soon, hopefully. I've not really been taking photos of my work lately, mostly just doing small stuff of late.

Who said you need to do mods to hang out here? Last mod I did was to install new door speakers two years ago. You're family, dude.

Tis true, I like this place too much. I guess by "mods" I meant I'm not really on here digging around for specific how-to's as much as I used to. Heck, I still haven't installed the brass shifter bushings I bought 2 years ago, so there's already a backlog
