B Pillar Issue

Post by 12xUSAF »

I bought my 06 Base when it was less than a year old. Since the day I took it home the B Pillar (I think) which is where the driver's seat belt fastens has not been attached on one side. I've tried over and over again to get it to stick, so:Does anyone know exactly how to re-attach the lower half of this plastic? It's still attached towards the rear, but the front half is just hanging there. Please help and thanks in advance to anyone who clues me in!

I do now, but I can't get the stupid file to attach. I'll post it once I figure out what I'm doing wrong here.

it's probably too big to attach to the thread. easiest thing to do is upload the image to photobucket or similar site and then link it to here. i'm not quite sure the way it attaches but i'll check it out. if i think of something i'll post it after i get home later.

The tab that holds the upper part in place is probably broken.

If you're referring to where the hole on the top is, nope, there's a section that fits in there just for alignment.

Hmmm... well something somewhere must not be in place like it's supposed to be or something somewhere is broken. I don't know what to tell you beyond that .

Be careful, cause I've tried dozens of times and it never stays! It's actually plastic and I can't figure out where it tucks into. It's really annoying!

i just tried a bit to get mine to come apart to see how it looks but it was taking more effort than i wanted it to. not wanting to risk breaking something else i stopped. my thought is that the hole has a clip but it's so worn down that it only looks like it's there for alignment. i have the same issue with one of my a-pilars. the little white clip has rounded off a little and also worn down.

I don't know if you've figured this out yet, but the little plastic tab goes under the weatherstrip. I broke one of mine figuring out how to take them out.
